Just said yes? Congratulations! Choosing from the many engagement photo locations in Tampa can feel overwhelming, so here’s my short list – the places where the light, the scenery, and the mood all work together. As a Tampa engagement photographer, these are the spots my couples fall in love with all over again.
Sunset Beaches: Pass-a-Grille & Treasure Island
Nothing beats a Gulf Coast sunset for romance. Pass-a-Grille, at the quiet southern tip of St. Pete Beach, pairs pastel skies with historic charm, and Sunset Beach on Treasure Island lives up to its name with fiery sunset-light color almost every evening. Both are ideal for barefoot, walk-in-the-waves sessions.
Fort De Soto’s North Beach
Sugar-white sand, driftwood sculpture gardens, and lagoons that mirror the sunset – Fort De Soto is a dream for couples who want that deserted-island feel. Weekday evenings feel like you have the whole coastline to yourselves.
Honeymoon Island – Yes, It’s Really Called That
The name says it all. Four miles of untouched shoreline in Dunedin with driftwood, osprey, and famously colorful skies. There’s an $8-per-vehicle entry fee, and it’s worth every penny for the moody, wind-swept romance of it.
Tampa Riverwalk & Curtis Hixon Park
Prefer city lights to seashells? The Riverwalk at dusk gives you the University of Tampa’s silver minarets glowing across the water, sleek skyline reflections, and plenty of spots for a champagne toast as the streetlights come on.
Plant Park at the University of Tampa
The historic red brick and Moorish architecture of Plant Hall make this one of Tampa’s most photographed backdrops – grand, timeless, and unmistakably Tampa. Campus photography rules change from time to time, so I handle checking current permission requirements when we plan your session.
Hyde Park Village & Ybor City
Hyde Park Village offers polished, European-feeling streets for a dressed-up session, while Ybor City brings brick alleys, wrought iron balconies, and vintage character for couples who want something with a little grit and soul.
Make It Yours
The most romantic location is the one that feels like you – where you had your first date, where the proposal happened, or simply the beach you love most.
