Nokomis Beach

The main stretch below the pavilion — roomy white sand, gentle surf, and easy parking. Reliable, relaxed, and never overrun.

North Jetty Park

At Casey Key’s south tip, the jetty juts into the pass with granite rocks, pelicans, and dolphins trailing the fishing boats — Nokomis’s signature sunset spot.

Casey Key

North of the beach, the narrow lane of Casey Key, Florida winds past old-Florida estates and quiet pull-offs where sea oats and empty shoreline steal the show.

The Nokomis Beach Pavilion

The 1950s pavilion’s butterfly roof is a mid-century gem — an architectural accent you won’t find at any other beach on the coast.

Getting to Nokomis Beach

  • Nokomis, Florida sits between Sarasota and Venice — about 20 minutes from each via US 41 and Albee Road
  • Two free parking lots flank the Nokomis Beach Pavilion
  • North Jetty Park has its own lot at the south end of Casey Key Road
  • I-75 drivers: exit Laurel Road and head west about 10 minutes
  • Weekend evenings fill early when the drum circle plays — arrive ahead of the crowd

When is the best time for photos at Nokomis Beach?

The final hour before sunset, when the pass turns gold and the jetty rocks catch the warm light. On drum-circle nights the beach gets lively — we can plan around it or lean into it.

Most sessions meet at the Nokomis Beach Pavilion lot or at North Jetty Park, depending on the backdrop you want. Exact parking and meeting details arrive before your session.

Soft neutrals and ocean-washed pastels sit beautifully against the white sand and dune grass. Your booking includes a full style guide, so outfits are the easy part.

Four to six weeks ahead is ideal, and more in winter when Casey Key fills with seasonal residents. Last-minute evenings do open occasionally — just ask.

Gulf storms tend to pass in under an hour, so we watch the radar together before calling it. When rain wins, your session slides to the next good sunset.
